Is it possible to lose body fat without losing muscle mass?
To reach a low percentage you always put your muscle mass at risk, but you can minimize the loss of muscle mass considerably this way:
✅Don't aim for a fat percentage that's too low
✅Don't restrict your calories too much
✅High protein levels
✅External resistance training
✅Rest well, getting a good night's rest sounds basic, but sleep has more importance than it's often given credit for
Pre- or post-workout caffeine?
➡️ Pre-workout increases performance due to stimulating effect.
➡️ Post-workout with carbohydrates speeds up the replenishment of muscle glycogen, which can be a viable strategy for athletes who train twice a day.
Does stretching after weight training influence hypertrophy?
No. Stretching is not on the list of variables that influence muscle hypertrophy.
Is cardio essential for losing weight?
❌ NO!
Cardio is essential for (among other reasons):
✅Cardiovascular health;
✅Maximize energy expenditure;
✅Improve metabolic flexibility, promote mitochondrial biogenesis, etc.
So it helps! But it's not essential. You can easily lose weight without doing any cardio.
